Maxillofacial Prosthetics is a sub-specialty of Prosthodontics. This subspecialty deals with the reconstructions of congenital (from birth) and acquired (developed later in life) defects of the mouth, head and neck region.
Prosthodontists must undergo one year of fellowship at an accredited institution after their three-year specialty residency to become a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist.
Dr. Klotz completed his fellowship training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Here he was trained to treat some of the most challenging patients dentistry has to offer.
